The Xero app for Beacon helps you to keep your Beacon database and Xero in-sync, automating much of your financial reconciliation process.
Beacon + Xero
With the Xero integration, you can export payments in Beacon directly to Xero, and invoice contacts through Xero within Beacon.
Export to Xero
Beacon lets you export payments from your database to Xero as account transactions in a few clicks, making it easy to keep finance and fundraising in-sync.
Xero accounts are auto-allocated based on data that lives in your Beacon database, ensuring that your transactions are categorised correctly when reconciling in Xero.
"Batches" of payments (via cheques, or digital channels like Stripe, GoCardless, and JustGiving) are automatically handled, allowing you to easily link many individual payments to single lines from your bank statement.
Want to apply additional tracking categories or inventory item codes during export? You can set those up too.
Invoice through Xero
When viewing any individual person or organisation record in Beacon, you can use a Xero card to create a new invoice.
Contacts are auto-created in Xero, and the invoice will be created and sent directly to an email address of your choice.
Getting started
Installing the Xero app on your Beacon account is easy:
- Login to your Beacon account.
- Navigate to Apps > Directory
- Install the Xero app
