Already a Modulr customer? If you’re already a Modulr customer: It’s quick and easy to start automating payments with Xero. Simply log into the Modulr portal and visit the Connections tab to get started.
If you’re already a Modulr accountant or bureau: Invite your client’s admin user to connect to Xero in the Modulr portal using the Connecting tab.
Modulr + Xero
Modulr syncs with Xero to automatically retrieve the data for bills you want to pay. Once the payment is processed by Modulr, simply reconcile the payments in one click within Xero.

Getting started
To pay Xero bills with Modulr you’ll need to sign up for a Modulr account and then connect to Xero.
If you’re using Modulr for your own business:
- Sign up for a Modulr account (if you already use Modulr for BrightPay and Iris payments, you can skip this step)
- Log into the Modulr portal
- Connect to Xero and select which Modulr accounts you’d like to sync with Xero
If you’re an accountant or bureau:
- Visit our website to contact our sales team who can guide you through the process to onboard and set up your clients
Modulr Account Application As a regulated business, we need you to provide a few details about the business, and its ownership and structure, to meet compliance requirements and to get you set up on the Modulr Portal. Please check out our user guides on what information is needed to complete the application.
