Overview
Get paid faster, without the hassle of chasing.
Garfield is the first AI law firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), built to help UK small businesses, sole traders and finance teams recover unpaid invoices. Connect your Xero account and Garfield automatically reads your overdue invoices and the contact details it needs — turning a backlog of late payments into a structured recovery process.
From there, Garfield does the legal legwork. It drafts and sends everything from a polite payment chaser to a formal letter before action, and if the debtor still won't pay, it can issue and manage a claim of up to £10,000 through the small claims court of England & Wales — including handling a defence through to trial. You're kept informed at every stage while Garfield handles the paperwork.
Why businesses choose Garfield:
- Recover invoices up to £10,000 without hiring a solicitor
- Fees from just £2 for a chaser and £7.50 for a letter before action (excl. VAT) — and recoverable from the debtor if you win
- Documents ready in minutes, available 7 days a week
- Bulk-create claims to clear a backlog, with role-based access for finance, legal and operations teams
- Around 20× faster and 10× cheaper than a traditional law firm
Garfield is the first to win a contested court trial with an SRA-regulated AI lawyer, and has been featured by the Financial Times, Forbes, BBC, The Economist and The Times, as well as cited in a House of Lords Constitution Committee report.
Available to businesses operating in England & Wales. Start free, connect Xero in a few clicks, and let Garfield turn your overdue invoices into recovered cash.
