SmarterPay + Xero
SmarterPay seamlessly integrates with Xero to automate your Bacs and Direct Debit workflows, saving time and reducing manual effort. Key features include:

When a new invoice is created in Xero, SmarterPay automatically creates the corresponding contact in our system.
This eliminates the need to manually replicate contacts across platforms.
- Direct Debit Automation
SmarterPay sends Direct Debit signup links to your contacts when required.
Once a contact is set up, subsequent invoices automatically generate payments in SmarterPay.
- Streamlined Payment Workflow
Payments are collected via Direct Debit as soon as an invoice is approved in Xero.

Getting started
Our integration makes managing Bacs payments and Direct Debits seamless. Here’s what to expect from setup to go-live:
- Contact & Agreement
Click the “Get Started” button in Xero.
You’ll be redirected to our contact form to provide your details.
We’ll send you a contract outlining services, transaction charges, and account terms.
- Contract Completion
Review, complete, and sign the contract.
Once signed, we’ll provide account setup forms to collect the information needed to create your SmarterPay account.
- Account Setup
Submit the forms to us, and we’ll create your SmarterPay account.
Our team ensures all necessary banking and company details are captured securely.
- Implementation & Project Kick-Off
We’ll create a dedicated project with our implementation team.
You’ll have a clear timeline for integration with Xero and migration of workflows.
- Onboarding & Training
Our onboarding specialists will guide you through the platform.
Receive step-by-step support, best-practice advice, and training to get your team up and running.
- Go-Live & Support
