Lots of issues and no tech support resolve

When we first started using Melio for our clients it was great. Worked as expected. Then they did a big update and very important features stopped working. They no longer sync combined payments to Xero. Though I have submitted many support tickets, almost a year later they still have not fixed the issue. They started charging in October 2024, with very little warning. Since Melio has became a pay to use app, sync with Xero disconnects almost weekly and still has not resolved combined payments syncing to Xero. Yet they now charge $.50 per item over 25 per month. They have shown zero regard to resolve any technical issues. They also will not allow you to collect payments from Individuals. If you are a business who sells to individuals, you cannot use Melio to collect payments. They do not recognize bill credits or partial payments. They miss the mark in so many areas of basic business. Save yourself the headache.

Does not connect to Xero

Xero says it is connected to Melio but Melio says it cannot verify credentials. Support said they needed to escalate but with no time frame on a solution if any. They have lost this accountants clients to Bill.com. Unfortunate because Bill.com is painful to use. Atleast it works.

Faulty Xero integration

The system is okay, but the integration with Xero is a mess, not responsive, and not reliable, and Melio support is deficient, they don't seem to know how to fix any issues. Don't waste your time with this app.

It's cheap...but it's trash.

We tried to use it for AP to sync with Xero and pay vendors. The API sync with Xero is super buggy. Sometimes it works fine, and sometimes it only syncs random items or nothing at all. Sometimes it will display a bill but won't allow you schedule it for payment. Their customer service is nice, but not all helpful with anything beyond basic stuff. The tier 2 support seems unresponsive.

Melio has been such a huge help for my practice. I work with Steve Xu and he has been fantastic. He is quick to help me out with any questions or issues I may have. Melio and Steve have been great partners for me. Couldn't be happier.

Melio - The Needed Payment Solution for Xero

Melio has proven to be the payment solution we needed for our business clients using Xero. It was easy to set up Melio and the integration works well between Melio and Xero, saving a lot of the double-keying our clients were having to do with previous, unconnected payment solutions. Invoices set up in Xero automatically interface into Melio with the vendor information and once payments are initiated in Melio, the information interfaces immediately back into Xero showing the invoice as paid. Melio is also a very cost effective solution - no fees charged for payments made via ACH. For small businesses using Xero, I would encourage you to try out Melio as an integrated payment solution.
