Overview
Each agent in Mimo is built for a specific workflow, bookkeeping, VAT, or financial close, and they work together for the full close or on their own for just one job.
Bookkeeping
- Collect: Synced with Xero bank accounts, chases clients for missing records, and sends automatic recurring bank statement requests.
- Scan: Invoice and receipt scanning, with fast coding based on documents and history.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconciles bank accounts and cards, with AI prompts for quick edits.
- Miscoding Review: Flags miscoded historic transactions.
VAT
VAT Review: Checks every transaction included on the VAT return, cross-checking attachments, supplier history, and HMRC guidelines. Presents an exceptions queue with suggested fixes, an exportable review log, and reconciles the VAT control account.
Financial close
- Adjustments & P&L: Identifies prepayments and accruals, automatically maintains schedules, posts journals, reverses accruals, and explains variances against the previous period.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Aged debtors and creditors, payroll control account, and directors' loan account.
Payments
- Accounts Payable: Invoices captured by email forward or upload, coded automatically, and published to Xero as Awaiting Payment. You or your client approves the payment run before anything moves.
- Payroll: Upload the payroll file, payees are verified automatically, and Mimo runs the pay cycle.
Mimo + Xero
Mimo maintains an instant, two-way sync with Xero. Invoices, bills, expenses, and payments sync live and automatically for a connected bookkeeping, payments, and reconciliation experience. Adjustments posted in Mimo flow straight to Xero, and edits in Xero sync back, so both stay in step through the close. Documents published to Xero link directly back to Mimo, so you can move between the two in a single click and always work from one set of numbers.
