Why is Trove different from other tools

Here are some features that our current customers use and love:

  • Automatically assign larger customers to VIP workflows with tailored reminders
  • Pre-reminders for Xero repeating invoices to ask for PO numbers and confirm billing details before annual subscriptions renew
  • Webhooks to trigger subscription cancellations when customers have been chased multiple times and still don't pay
  • Sub-company functionality for chasing the parent company separately to individual sub-companies
  • CRM integrations to pull relevant data into Trove and write updates for Sales
  • Slack/MS Teams alerts to update the whole team on invoices and debtors

Here are some real results from clients using Trove:

  • 50% of the overdue balance collected within three weeks (£1.5m turnover)

Trove + Xero

How Trove works with Xero

Trove connects directly to your Xero account through a secure integration. We run a two-way sync, pulling data from Xero into Trove and writing data back from Trove to Xero.

Data syncing from Xero to Trove:

  • Invoice details including amounts, due dates, numbers and payment status
  • Customer contact information and billing contacts
  • Payment records and transaction history
  • Account balances and credit notes

Data syncing from Trove to Xero:

  • Payment reminder activity
  • Communication history for complete audit trails
  • Invoice status updates as accounts move through collection stages

Features on Trove

Emails that look and sound like you You control when and how Trove communicates on your behalf. Integrate with your Gmail or Outlook, set your preferred reminder schedules and then review emails before they are sent. Trove automatically drafts replies to any customer responses so you can just review and send.

Suggestions actions from customer replies If a customer replies to say they will pay on Friday, Trove automatically suggests updating the expected payment date in Xero to that Friday. This means no more emails are sent until the expected payment date is passed and Xero is kept up to date with the latest information.

Integrates with your business systems Trove integrates with the systems you use to run your business: email, Xero, Slack, MS Teams, CRM etc. This means Trove can update other systems or team members when debtors pay (or don't).

Chooses the right contacts Instead of sending payment reminders to generic company emails, Trove identifies the person who actually handles payments and communicates directly with them. This improves response rates and reduces friction in the collection process.

Multi-entity and multi-currency support Trove works with companies across geographies and sizes. If you have a complex setup we can support you.

Security and permissions

Trove uses OAuth 2.0 authentication to connect with Xero, meaning your login credentials are never stored or shared. You can revoke Trove's access from your Xero account at any time. All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.

If you need reminder tools for late payers - LOOK NO FURTHER

Honestly, deciding to use Trove was the best decision for our ARs and has had a material impact on how we conduct our business. We'd tried many other options before, which were over complex, difficult to configure, and lacked direct integration - causing customer confusion. Trove is absolutely amazing - Lightweight (in a good way), does what it says on the box and makes everything automated and simple. The percentage of customers that pay on chased invoices is outstanding and and pays the monthly subscription cost 10 times over. The staff / support are very helpful. Cannot recommend it enough.

So Glad We Found Trove

We've been really impressed with Trove as a credit control app. It does exactly what you need it to do without being overcomplicated or packed with unnecessary extras, which makes it really easy to use day to day. What stands out most is how practical and straightforward everything feels. It’s clearly been designed by people who understand how credit control actually works in real businesses, and you’re not paying for loads of features you’ll never touch. The team behind Trove are brilliant too — friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. It’s refreshing to know that when you speak to them, you’re actually talking to the people who built the system and understand it inside out. Another big advantage is the ability to try the system before committing, which gives real confidence that it will work for your business. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to some larger platforms that can feel overly complex and charge extra for features that many smaller companies don’t actually need. If you're looking for a credit control tool that focuses on doing the essentials really well without unnecessary extras,Trove is definitely worth considering.
