Payment Flow

Getting started
Getting started with Merchant Warrior for Xero is quick and straightforward.
Before You Begin
Before connecting Merchant Warrior to Xero, ensure you have:
- An active Xero account with invoicing enabled
- An active Merchant Warrior merchant account
- Administrator access to both your Xero organisation and Merchant Warrior account
If you do not already have a Merchant Warrior account, you can sign up via the Merchant Warrior website.
Connect Merchant Warrior to Xero
- Install the Merchant Warrior app from the Xero App Store
- Log in to your Merchant Warrior account when prompted
- Authorise the connection between Merchant Warrior and Xero
- Configure your payment preferences
- Enable online payments for your Xero invoices
Once setup is complete, eligible invoices will include a secure online payment option.
Sending Invoices
Create and send invoices through Xero as you normally would. Customers can select the payment option on the invoice and complete payment through Merchant Warrior's secure hosted payment page.
Receiving Payments
When a customer completes payment:
- Merchant Warrior securely processes the transaction
- Xero automatically updates the invoice status
- Payment details are synchronised back to Xero for reconciliation
Managing Payments
Merchant Warrior provides access to payment transactions, reporting and settlement information through your Merchant Warrior account, while Xero continues to manage your invoicing and accounting workflows.
