Overview
Tailride automates invoice and receipt collection, extraction, coding, and export for businesses, finance teams, accountants, and bookkeepers.
Connect email inboxes, upload PDFs or images, or capture paper receipts through Telegram or WhatsApp. Tailride identifies financial documents, extracts vendor, dates, totals, taxes, currency, invoice numbers, payment terms, and line items when available, and organizes them in one dashboard. You can also scan historical email for missed documents.
Use automatic coding to assign expense accounts to invoice line items. When automatic export to Xero is enabled, invoices are exported after coding finishes when every line item has an account code. Invoices with uncoded lines stay in Tailride for review, so exceptions do not move forward unchecked. You can also export selected invoices manually when you want direct control.
The Xero workflow supports chart-of-accounts data, expense-account selection, tax-rate selection for manual exports, invoice and line-item details, supplier information, and source-document attachments when available.
Tailride helps reduce repetitive bookkeeping while keeping review in your hands. It is not an accounting system and does not replace review by a qualified professional. Available fields and tax treatment depend on the source document and your Xero configuration.
Tailride + Xero
Tailride connects with Xero through a user-authorized workflow for automatic coding and export:
- Connect your Xero organisation from Tailride and authorize access.
- Sync your Xero chart of accounts and, where available, import coding history to improve account suggestions.
- Choose a default Xero expense account and enable Automatic export.
- Tailride extracts supplier, date, invoice number, amount, currency, tax, and line-item data from incoming or uploaded documents when available.
- Automatic coding assigns account codes to invoice line items.
- After coding finishes, invoices with an account code on every line are exported automatically to Xero. Invoices with uncoded lines remain in Tailride for review.
You can also select invoices for a manual export, choose the account and tax rate, and create the corresponding Xero bill or expense. Source PDFs or images are attached when available. Tailride shows sync status and errors so failed items can be reviewed and retried. Exact fields and tax treatment depend on the source document and your Xero configuration.
