    DEAR Inventory + Xero

    Once DEAR Inventory and Xero are connected, DEAR Inventory will become the central point of all inventory management within your business. This means that all inventory-related purchases, sales, and manufacturing will be performed in DEAR Inventory and then synchronized over to Xero in form of invoices, bills and journal entries.

    Excellent system, have been using over 6 years!

    I decided to try DEAR in 2014 when we needed an inventory system and I wasn't going to use a clunky old programme. DEAR has been easy to use, intuitive and the support has been prompt and helpful. They are always bringing in new features and upgrading the platform. Since 2014 we have opened another 2 businesses and we have implemented DEAR as our inventory management system of choice for them too. The integration with Xero makes life easy and after using countless accounting/inventory management systems over the last 30 years (some costing millions) the Xero / DEAR combination is an outstanding leader, especially for the price. Try and see.

    great support and the app does the job

    I wasn't sure at the start given there are a few inventory systems out there that are cheaper than Dear, but the onboarding support was spot on and the ongoing technical support is very responsive and most times answers my questions. I love the two way sync between xero and dear. I really like how I can attribute an invoice sales to a specific income account and not just the general income bucket. Back when I was using QBO, I had to use a third party invoice app (which costed money and another integration) with shopify and used QBO for inventory tracking. Except, I needed batch tracking which Xero and QBO not offering this out of the box. But now with Xero and Dear, I can drop the third party integration as Dear handles both invoicing to Xero and inventory management. The production module is also great if you are really into the production costing details. You get what you pay for.
