Getting started
The best way to start accepting in-person & remote payments with Pebl and Xero, is to connect your Xero account in the Pebl mobile app.
If you're not already signed up, head to your phone's app store and search "Pebl" to begin the sign-up process. You can also head to www.pebl.me. It's free to download and sign-up, along with having no ongoing fees or monthly costs.
Once downloaded, complete the sign-up process by providing your personal, business and banking info along with ID verification. It takes as little as 5 minutes!
Once your Pebl account is active, follow the below instructions to connect your Xero account: -
- Go to Settings > Payment Settings > Invoice Settings in the Pebl app and enable Xero.
- Log in using your Xero credentials and choose the business account to link.
- Choose or create Sales and Expense accounts.
- Select a bank account for transaction reconciliation.
- Pick the appropriate GST setting (e.g., inclusive or excluded).
You can now begin to create, view, manage and share Xero invoices directly from the Pebl app. Simply head back to the home screen, select the Business Hub (small circle to the right of the blue '+' button), swipe across to the Invoice tab. You can press the blue '+' button to create a new invoice, or select a pending one you created in Xero earlier.
From there you can accept payment via Tap to Pay on iPhone or Android, or by sharing a Payment Request Link via SMS, Email, Messenger etc. You can also manually process card details or have a customer scan a QR code to complete payment.
You can also email your Xero invoices as normal, and have your customer click "Pay Now" to pay via Pebl.
