Fishbowl Manufacturing and Warehouse
Overview
Fishbowl offers warehouse management and manufacturing software that gives small and medium-sized businesses access to features to automate processes and compete with much larger corporations. It’s a great fit for retailers, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers, medical suppliers, construction companies, and many other types of businesses. Fishbowl Warehouse is an inventory management solution that includes purchase orders, sales orders, multi-location inventory tracking, multi-currency conversions, barcoding, shipping, and automatic reorder points. Fishbowl Manufacturing uses work orders, bills of materials, manufacture orders, and production stages along with its comprehensive inventory management platform.
Fishbowl Manufacturing and Warehouse + Xero
Fishbowl can both import and export a variety of accounting data to and from Xero’s online accounting platform. You can instantly add inventory to Fishbowl from Xero via CSV file, and create new general ledger accounts in Xero from Fishbowl. Fishbowl keeps track of changes to inventory quantities while alerting Xero to make corresponding accounting adjustments to inventory asset, cost of goods sold, and income. Payments, accounts payable, contacts, inventory adjustments, and manufacturing adjustments are all properly recorded and accounted for in both solutions when they are integrated, so there is never a discrepancy between them.
Getting started
To integrate Fishbowl with Xero, first go to the Accounting Integration module in the Fishbowl interface and then click the Configure tab and the big blue Connect to Xero button. Follow the instructions in the wizard that pops up to log into your Xero account and click the Authorize button to get an authorization code, which you will enter into the appropriate textbox. Pick the accounts in Xero that you want Fishbowl to correspond to, and create any ones that don’t currently exist with the help of an additional wizard. Click Finish and the integration will be ready to go. Importing and exporting information between the two solutions is as easy as pressing a button under the General tab of Fishbowl’s Accounting Integration module.
