Xero Inventory Plus seamlessly connects to Xero and ecommerce channels to help you manage and track inventory, simplify accounting and get accurate insights to help you grow your business.
With Inventory Plus you can:
Sync your sales channels to get a clear view of your inventory in one place: By connecting to Shopify and Amazon (FBA), you can get a centralized view of orders, returns and inventory levels across multiple channels, helping you efficiently manage reordering needs and fulfillment. For Shopify you can also sync your product details from Inventory Plus to Shopify.
Take control of inventory & reordering: Track inventory across multiple locations and reduce the chances of running out of stock. View products to re-order, create purchase orders, manage delivery and accept partial receipts of goods in purchase orders.
Fulfill customer orders & returns: For businesses selling on Shopify, efficiently fulfill and ship products, keep track of orders, and manage customer returns.
Simplify accounting and taxes: Sales orders are automatically synced to Inventory Plus daily. Inventory Plus will then post all sales, sales tax & costs of goods sold to the correct accounts in Xero so your books and sales tax reports are always up to date, without manual data entry.

Xero Inventory Plus + Xero
Inventory Plus manages your inventory through transactions such as sales and purchase orders, and records these transactions to its own general ledger.
Inventory Plus connects to your Xero organization and records the financial details from orders to your Xero, helping you keep your books up to date and simplify tax filing, without manual data entry.
- Each business day, Inventory Plus creates a single batch journal entry in your Xero organization. The journal summarizes the total credits and debits made to your inventory accounts for that day.
- Every hour, Inventory Plus syncs with Xero to update the day’s batch journal entry.
- Sales tax from orders flow into Xero’s sales tax reports powered by Avalara, allowing you to filter by state and jurisdiction and simplify tax filing.
- Purchase orders created in Inventory Plus can be synced to Xero as a bill
- Manual unpaid sales orders in Inventory Plus will create invoices in Xero

Getting started
Inventory Plus is available as an add-on to Xero Growing or Established plans in the US. To access Inventory Plus, log in to your Xero organization and click on your organization name, then select Inventory Plus from the menu.
When you’re setting up Inventory Plus, you’ll be guided through a few key onboarding steps to set up your accounting, connect ecommerce stores and activate the Xero connection.
