Clear audit trail
Invoices pass from Hubdoc to Xero then to Approval Max , with Approval Max adding a document in Xero with the approval audit trail. Perfect for our auditors and cuts down on email traffic.

worth it
If you are looking for an easy way to streamline all the approval steps then this software is really worth it. its also gives you the opportunity to set see the budget before you approve which is the one thing our managers really needed.
there are some disadvantages such as it does not allow for users to draw reports if they have no admin rights, and the report layout could use work too.

ApprovalMax has been a massive timesaver for us. Gone are the days of chasing staff for invoice approvals. We now have a full audit trail from submission, to approval, to payment.

expensive for what it is used for
Approval Max have badgered me to leave a review so here is an honest one. We are a very small business that needed an add on to XERO to properly report Purchase orders. That's all we needed, we are paying more for this than XERO and the prices have more than doubled in the few years that we've subscribed. There is no live feed ; they tell you regular syncs and you can request them at any time, but that is more clicks that take time. Think very carefully about what you'll use it for and what you'll get out of this. If they could have made tiered pricing for different requirements then I might have given an extra star. But of all the 'improvements' in new releases over the years, nothing has impacted us yet the prices still go up. Perhaps it's great for a medium to large business with large Purchase department, but not for us.

Excellent customer service. Very quick to respond and help. ApprovalMax is helping streamline purchase ordering and it's easy to use. Would recommend.
