We have been using MechanicDesk for almost a month now and have been really happy with how the transition has gone. After spending months trying to implement another software system that ultimately didn't work out and was far too complicated for our needs, we were impressed by how straightforward the move to MechanicDesk was. The software is very user-friendly for both our office staff and tradesmen, and we really like the new interface. One of the things we've appreciated most is how intuitive the whole system feels. Everything just seems to make sense. Buttons and features are where you'd expect them to be, and the workflows are logical and straightforward. Whether it's creating a purchase order, converting it to a bill or managing a job from start to finish, the processes flow naturally without unnecessary steps or complications. The integrations with NAPA and CoolDrive have been great, and the sync with Xero has worked really well, which was one of our biggest concerns when changing systems. Some of our favourite features are the simple POS system, easy access to vehicle history, and the ability to create purchase orders for parts that are linked directly to jobs. Coming from an old manual, paper-based system, these features have saved us a lot of time and made our day-to-day operations much more efficient. As an auto electrical business servicing a wide range of customers and vehicles, we needed a system that was flexible without being overly complicated, and MechanicDesk has been a really good fit for our business. We would definitely recommend MechanicDesk to other businesses in the automotive industry.

We have been using MD for nearly 6 years. We do Trucks, Heavy Diesel Construction & Forestry Machinery, Forklifts - large & small, basically anything with a diesel engines in it. The functionality that MD provides in tracking the history of the plant item is exceptional, photos, meter readings, who worked on it when, warranty info, item specific information all easily accessible. Inventory control is a breeze and our Part Department love it. Being able to list multiple suppliers ( & pricing) for one item, cross reference part numbers & supersessions easily. The mobile app is easy for our mechanics to use & add photos etc to their jobs. Saved text allows less time for them to write up job stories. Being able to see what was done on the plant previously all help our team to deliver excellent service. Clock on & clock off for efficient timesheet recording. Easy to restrict access & set up different user levels. If someone makes a mistake, generally it is not to difficult to undo it in MD. Best of all the VERY quick response to phone calls or emails to the helpdesk. They take our suggestions seriously & give us updates on when/ things are happening. MD is a very easy system to navigate and customisable to suit our needs. Highly recommend.

Everytime a job gets created a new supplier name gets created too and is time consuming merging them after in Xero, and deleting duplicates. Remember is a mechanic doing financial data entry!. Also, would be nice that only transactions with the invoice attached gets migrated to Xero, and that the pdf gets also transferred as is time consuming when you need to have a look the document you have to go back to mechanic desk and the search tool in here is very restricted as you can not filter columns/info or organise data for analysis.
