Step 1: Connect Xero
Authorise via the standard OAuth flow. RemitClear gets read access to your invoices and contacts and write access to post payments, and never sees your Xero password. Connecting takes about 30 seconds. Managing several Xero organisations? Connect each from one workspace.
Step 2: Set your invoice prefixes
Tell RemitClear what your invoice numbers look like (e.g. INV-, PCI-, RC-) so extraction prioritises the right references. Set them once and they apply to every future remittance.
Step 3: Choose your default bank account
Pick which Xero bank account payments post against. You can override this per remittance.
Step 4: Process your first remittance
Drag and drop a PDF, Excel or CSV, or forward a remittance email to your dedicated RemitClear address. A standard remittance takes under 10 seconds; 600+ line documents post in under a minute.
Step 5: Review and post
Matched invoices appear alongside the original document. Approve the matches, adjust for any retentions or deductions, and post to Xero. The remittance is attached to each invoice automatically.
