As a pre-accounting tool, Briefcase is a fantastic alternative to the legacy vendors in this space. But for me, what truly sets it apart is the team behind the product. They have a determination to build the best version of a feature, not just add something. For example, tagging an expense item as a prepayment and then publishing the release journals. Helpful, but not as helpful as also creating the tracking schedule/workpaper with a live reconciliation to the balance sheet account. This is how Briefcase approached the ask. And with that being just one part of the Workpapers / Month End close functionality, this is complemented by a similarly smart design of the full set of workpapers, raising the standard of not just the bookkeeping but the monthly accounting. The outcome is far greater efficiency than Excel, and with it being in the daily workflow rather than as a separate tool.

This is how it should be, easy to use, great support from the guys at Briefcase, accurate, innovative and generally the best app i've come accross!

We've been using Briefcase for several months now and have been very impressed so far. It is by far the best product on the market for data processing and it continues to evolve with new features and regular updates. The team is highly responsive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement. We've also received excellent feedback from our clients who have moved to Briefcase. It is extremely user-friendly, meaning we've had to provide minimal training to help clients get started.

Changing accounting tools can be difficult and admin intensive. The number one question to ask is whether the new tool will improve your operations enough to warrant the disruption. Having been with Briefcase for 3 months now, I can confidently state that the transition has been well worth it! We currently use the tool for our AP processes - only scratching the surface of it's true potential. This tool has replaced Dext and Hubdoc in our tech stack and we're loving it. Not only is the recognition of information on supplier invoices excellent, it also learns from past processing to improve accuracy going forward. 2 features we, as a team, particularly enjoy - excellent identification of duplicate invoices and identification of supplier statements which used to often get published to Xero in error. A great tool, that is only getting better each month!

Amazing app and makes bookkeeping a breeze, the new feature to also process categories is remarkeable.
