Overview
Corporate tax filing in Singapore usually means exporting from your ledger, reformatting in a spreadsheet, then re-entering everything into a separate tax tool or the IRAS portal. Xero Compliance Singapore removes that loop.
Form C-S in Xero Compliance pulls your profit and loss data and chart of accounts straight from Xero, maps your accounts to IRAS tax categories, and lets you submit the completed return directly to IRAS through CorpPass.
What it does
- Pulls P&L data and your chart of accounts from your Xero organisation
- Maps your Xero accounts to IRAS tax categories automatically, for you to review and adjust
- Fetches prior-year data through CorpPass pre-fill, including unutilised allowances, losses and donations
- Imports your fixed asset register, with CSV bulk upload
- Calculates using IRAS's own APIs, so the output is what IRAS expects
- Submits directly to IRAS via CorpPass and returns an acknowledgement number
- Carries account mappings and multi-year asset schedules into next year's filing
- Logs every step from first mapping to submission, supporting Singapore's five-year record-keeping requirement
For accountants and bookkeepers
Standardise Form C-S preparation across your whole client book instead of working tool by tool. Mappings and asset schedules roll forward, so year two is materially quicker than year one, and every figure traces back to the client's ledger for review and sign-off.
For small businesses
If you are hands-on with your own books in Xero and your affairs are reasonably straightforward, you can prepare and file your own Form C-S without re-entering figures into the IRAS portal.
What to know before you start
- Form C-S is for Singapore-incorporated companies with annual revenue up to S$5 million. Companies above that threshold file Form C, which is not supported.
- Organisations using SGD as their base currency only, at this release.
Included at no extra cost on Xero Standard and Premium plans.
Xerο Compliance Singapore + Xero
Form C-S in Xero Compliance is built by Xero and reads directly from your Xero organisation, so there is no export, no import step, and no second copy of your data to keep in sync.
How the connection works
- You connect Xero Compliance to a Xero organisation once, using your existing Xero login. Access follows the user permissions already set in that organisation.
- The app reads your chart of accounts and profit and loss data for the financial year you are filing.
- It presents your Xero account codes mapped to the IRAS tax lines they belong to. You review the mapping, adjust anything you disagree with, and it is remembered for next year.
- Nothing is written back into Xero. Your ledger stays the source of truth, and the return is built from it rather than alongside it.
What this means in practice
Because the figures come from Xero rather than a spreadsheet, every number in the return traces back to a transaction you can open and check. There is no reconciliation step between what your ledger says and what you have filed.
Calculations use IRAS's own APIs rather than a calculation engine of our own, so the computation you review is the computation IRAS applies. Submission goes to IRAS through CorpPass, and the acknowledgement number comes back into the app alongside the filing record.
Working across several Xero organisations
If you manage a client book, connect each client's Xero organisation and move between them without signing in again. Mappings, asset schedules and filing history are held separately per organisation.
Data that flows out of Xero
Chart of accounts, profit and loss data for the filing period, fixed asset data, and organisation details.
Data that flows into Xero
None. Form C-S reads from Xero and does not write back to it.

Getting started
Setting up takes about 10 to 15 minutes for your first organisation. Later ones are quicker, because you already know the flow.
Before you start
- Your organisation needs to be on a Xero Standard or Premium plan
- Your organisation's base currency needs to be SGD
- You will need CorpPass access for the company you are filing for, both to pre-fill prior-year data and to submit
- Have your fixed asset details ready, either to enter directly or as a CSV
Setting up
- Select Get this app at the top of this page.
- Sign in with your existing Xero login and choose the organisation you want to connect. You can add more organisations at any time.
- Authorise the connection. Xero Compliance will read your chart of accounts and profit and loss data.
- Confirm the financial year and Year of Assessment you are filing for.
- Review the account mapping. Your Xero accounts will already be matched to IRAS tax categories, so check each one and adjust anything that does not look right. This is the step worth taking time over, because the mapping carries forward to future years.
- Connect CorpPass to pull prior-year data, including unutilised allowances, losses and donations.
- Import or enter your fixed asset register. For larger registers, use the CSV bulk upload.
- Complete the remaining fields. Some, including leasehold improvements, renovation costs and investment credits, need to be entered manually.
- Review the full return, then submit to IRAS through CorpPass. You will receive an acknowledgement number confirming submission.
Filing again next year
Your account mappings and multi-year asset schedules carry forward, so your second filing starts from a populated return rather than a blank one.
If you need help
Step-by-step guidance is on Xero Central, and Xero Support can help with setup and connection questions. If you work with a Xero partner, they can set the app up on your behalf.
