The new Shopify integration by Xero is here. It syncs sales, payouts, fees and taxes from Shopify into Xero so your books stay up-to-date. Whether you sell online, in-store with POS, or both, this integration is designed to provide a clear view of your business performance.

Getting started

  1. Click the "Get this app" button at the top of this page
  2. Log in with your Xero account
  3. You will then be redirected to connect your Shopify and Xero accounts
  4. Follow the prompts to continue with integration set-up.

Excellent support from Hani

I had been experiencing issues with Shopify orders not syncing correctly to Xero and was becoming very frustrated. Hani took the time to investigate the problem, explained how the payout-centric integration works, and followed up with me throughout the process. After the issue was investigated, my missing invoices were successfully created and my Shopify payouts are now reconciling correctly in Xero. Hani was professional, patient, and communicated clearly during the troubleshooting process. Thank you for your assistance and commitment to resolving the issue. It is very much appreciated.

Absolute Clusterf*ck

We had a working integration, and we found sync issues causing double entries and missed entries. We reached out to support requesting a historical sync. Support first advised us that we are in 'Free Plan' and we need to upgrade our plan, even though 90 days of sync is supposed to be included in this 'partnered' integration. When we pushed back, they came back asking us to delete the current integration and create a new integration and only then a historical sync can be done. We had sync issues before, but were never asked to do this. Fast forward, In the process of creating a new integration, they created duplicated accounts within our chart of accounts, and mapped the integration to a newly created accounts, instead of existing accounts that have entries and balances. Their website says a new 'Shopify Payments Balance' account will be created, but they created a new "Shopify Payouts Balance" account, when we already have a "Shopify Payments Balance" account in our chart of accounts. Two different accounts with two different codes. One with existing entries and balances and one without. And the mapping cannot be edited to change it back to the old account. In summary, we went to support for a simple historical sync to troubleshoot their sync issues and ended up with a absolutely new nightmare of a clusterf*ck wasting our time. We are completely flummoxed that Xero actually partnered with these shitheads. Deserves zero stars for zero F given by the dev team and the support team for this integration. Xero team should hand their heads in shame for this partnership.
