Getting started with the BambooHR and Xero Payroll integration is designed to be simple, with guided setup and support to help you create a connected HR-to-payroll workflow.
1. Connect Xero Payroll A BambooHR administrator installs the appropriate Xero Payroll integration for the UK, Australia, or New Zealand and authorises the connection to your Xero account.
2. Prepare your employee data Review and complete the employee and compensation information needed for payroll. BambooHR supports country-specific fields to align employee data with local Xero Payroll requirements.
3. Complete the initial sync Once connected, supported employee and compensation information is synchronized between BambooHR and Xero Payroll as part of setup. This establishes BambooHR as the source of truth for ongoing employee information.
4. Automate ongoing updates After setup, supported changes made in BambooHR automatically sync to Xero Payroll. New employees can also be created in Xero Payroll from BambooHR, reducing duplicate data entry and creating a smoother handoff from employee onboarding to payroll.
