Nagaris Software + Xero
Nagaris integrates directly with Xero Practice Manager (XPM) so the manual setup that normally follows a signed engagement is eliminated entirely. When a client signs in Nagaris, the matching structure is created in XPM in seconds — Client Groups, Clients, Contacts, jobs, budgets and tasks — all mapped to your firm's existing templates.
CONNECTING NAGARIS TO XERO PRACTICE MANAGER
A practice administrator authorises Nagaris against their Xero Practice Manager organisation via OAuth 2.0. Setup takes minutes. Once connected, Nagaris reads your existing XPM configuration so every engagement aligns with how your firm is already structured:
- Job categories, states and templates
- Staff, teams and work queues
- Task types and standard services
- Custom fields and client categories
These are surfaced inside Nagaris when building proposals, so line items map cleanly to real XPM work the moment they're sold.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A CLIENT SIGNS
The signature pulls the trigger. As soon as a client accepts a Nagaris engagement, the following is created automatically in Xero Practice Manager:
- Client Group for the whole family or entity group
- Clients — one per entity (trust, company, SMSF, individual)
- Contacts with roles, relationships and verified details
- Jobs, created from each accepted engagement line item
- Budgets (estimated time and fees) locked to the accepted proposal
- Tasks pre-assigned to the correct staff member or team queue
- Custom field values populated from onboarding (ABN, ACN, entity type, risk rating, and more)
Every record is stamped with a Nagaris reference so any job in XPM can be traced back to the originating engagement, signed document and payment.
SECURITY & PERMISSIONS Nagaris requests only the minimum Xero Practice Manager scopes required to read your firm's configuration and to create clients, jobs and tasks. We use short-lived OAuth tokens, refreshed automatically — credentials are never stored. All data moving between Nagaris and Xero is encrypted in transit and at rest.
AVAILABILITY The integration is available to Xero Practice Manager customers in Australia. Firms can disconnect at any time from Nagaris admin settings; no data is deleted from Xero Practice Manager on disconnect.

- Sign up for a Nagaris account, or book a demo to see it in action.
- Connect Xero Practice Manager. From Nagaris settings, click "Connect to Xero" and authorise access to your XPM organisation. Nagaris reads your existing job templates, staff, tasks and custom fields so everything is ready to use.
- Build your first proposal. Pick your client (or family group), add engagement line items mapped to your XPM services, and send.
- Let the client take over. They self-complete identity verification, AML checks and payment in one guided flow.
