Overview
Blink PayNow is a new secure online payment method that enables you to be easily be paid from your customer’s New Zealand bank account, by adding a "Pay with Blink PayNow" button to your Xero invoice.
The advantages of this method of payment include: -

Payment fees are materially lower than those charged for card payments (0.95% capped at $3.00 NZD per successful transaction)

Use of secure Bank APIs that BlinkPay has contracted directly with banks. We do not use ‘screen scraping’ ensuring your customers are safe.

Payments will happen in real-time if your customer banks with the same bank as you (all other banks will typically clear within two hours on business days)

No payment errors as the payment data is pre-populated so customers only need to approve the payment and it's all done.

All payments are automatically matched to the right invoice and marked as 'paid' in real-time, making reconciliation a breeze.
Best of all, you don't need any technical knowledge to connect the BlinkPay service to your Xero account, and once approved, a merchant can set themselves up in minutes!
Blink PayNow + Xero
Once you’ve linked your BlinkPay and Xero accounts:-

A ‘Pay with Blink PayNow’ button appears on your invoices.

Your customers simply click the button and then choose to pay directly from either their BNZ or Westpac online bank account. If they are with another bank, they will be shown your regular bank payment details. Additional New Zealand banks are on their way soon.

Your invoice will be marked as 'paid' in real-time when the payment has been accepted, and the money will typically clear within two hours on business days.
Getting started
To get started, just follow the steps below: -
- Go to https://secure.blinkpay.co.nz/xero/start and select the 'I agree' checkbox and click the 'connect to Xero' button.
We will ask to connect your Xero account and for Xero to share your name and email with us.
- Complete our sign-up form (~60 secs).
We will be in touch to ask for any additional details we need (e.g. account number) and to conduct other pre-onboarding checks.
- Once you are approved, we will send you an email with a link to follow.
Once you have completed the last few steps to connect our BlinkPay services to your Xero merchant account, you are good to go!
