we received no advance notification that we needed to now integrate shopify & xero via amaka. Amaka is awful. there's no support - you can't book a call for weeks. It's unbelievably poor and despite raising numerous tickets our connectivity issues have not been resolved (was working perfectly before this automated change)

I'm a chartered accountant, and I've set up and used integrations between WooCommerce and Xero historically without issue, so I thought I'd give this a go. I just set this up between my Shopify store and Xero. It's a multi-currency Shopify store, with duties, different tax rates, Shopify Payments, Paypal payments, some historic recurring Stripe payments, and an integration to eBay. The set-up wasn't particularly clear. I can figure out how to link payout bank accounts for Shopify Payments. I can't seem to link PayPal payouts to any PayPal account. I've no idea how ebay sales are considered. I asked it to sync back 2 days, it synced about 4 orders, instead of about 70. I've goine on to schedule a call, and I can't get one until a week away, and even then, in the middle of the night. What's the point? There was nothing wrong with the manual process I had going on. It frustrates me that Xero keeps issuing ridiculous AI features that don't work, are of no use, keeps putting our bill up, and then when something appears that may actually be useful, like this Shopify sync, it's as clear as mud and you can't get easy support. I'm beginning to wonder why we are even with Xero still.

The Shopify by Xero app has worked well for us. We had a few questions about our Afterpay setup and the Ria Cases from the support team was really helpful in getting everything sorted. The setup was easy and we're happy with how it's working.
