It is okay
I have clients on Run and Workforce that integrate into Xero. Run is more automatic and workforce is a completely manual process of downloading and uploading, crazy as it is the more expensive product. What makes this a 3 star over a 5 star is the restrictions Xero places on importing directly into the bank account. I have clients who still write paper checks which go over all as individual transactions into the clearing account but then I have to manually move all of those over to the bank account so they show as outstanding checks on the reports. The handling of check numbers is not smooth either. With direct deposit it is a little better because you have 3 line items that need to be reconciled. The other part is the tax liability accounts getting cleared out as clients get confused between the direct deposit clearing account vs what goes directly to the payroll liabilities accounts. I have had to change their COA to make this easier but then you don't get the detail of which taxes have liabilities and which ones have been paid as they are all listed in one account. ADP doesn't allow Run clients to enter has bills in Xero only a JE and then requires you to zero out the entry which means going into each entry and taking off the zero out function and manually transferring to the bank account. Both ADP and Xero together could make some very simple changes to make this a great product but right now they are just not allowing those options.

XERO Bank Feed has not worked for 6 months
XERO Bank Feed has not worked for 6 months and it keeps asking for same information. I gave up and have been manually balancing books ever since. I would switch to another company if I could but not practical.

Big time saver
I have used Run and Xero together for almost 10 years and have had very few problems. It has saved me so much time - I haven't had to post a payroll manually since I started using the integration. It is so easy and I love the auto post to the gl.

Works well for us
We've not had any issues with ADP. Customer service via the chat always seems to work and they are very good at resolving any issues - to which, we've had a very few. I would recommend.

Difficult to get service internationally
The software itself works well, but the customer service is impossible as we are trying to manage our US payroll from an international location. It is very difficult to speak to someone when there has been a problem or to get resolution on issues.
