Expensify was the first and only expense management app I have used, and I've always been mostly happy with it for years. It scans expenses, creates good expense reports and syncs with Xero. All was well until I switched phones and service, and needed support for the app to keep working on my new phone. Then, I got into an endless nonsensical discussion with customer service, telling me I needed to find recovery codes somewhere on my computer, which I just can't find. To be clear, I still have access to my account on my computer, but Expensify is unable to help me recover access from my phone. There is no solution - I just have to find those codes - really? It turns out there seems to be many expense management apps for Xero, some with better ratings than Expensify, so there are solutions after all! Good luck, everyone else!

Expensify reports do not import in to Xero as individual bills, they are grouped together as line items under the Bill. I have spoken to Expensify many times and explained that I would like Expensify to export are Report as Individual Bills in Xero to match the bank payments and reconcile them together but Expensify has no way to do this, and their vague answers that they may in the future include this feature do not inspire any confidence. I will be looking at HubDoc instead.

Concept is great, but Expensify does not seem to understand what breaks the connections with Xero so often, nor do they appear to be overly concerned with fixing the issue.
