Moving from one integration to another isn't easy and there are a lot of accounts that are created for this new integration. I had a bit of trouble with trying to understand where and how money is being moved because i work POS with Shopify as well and couldn't see where it was going in Xero. Ria and Martin as well as Pedram have been extremely helpful. After jumping on a call we sorted out where everything goes and they took time to explain where and how I should be reconciling everything to help the books balance as they should. Will probably need more time to get used to it and make sure everything is smooth, but the help from the team has been invaluable to figuring out how Shopify things are being posted in Xero via the integration, I believe it will help to clarify the accounts moving forward despite the extra effort.

I used Amaka to sync my Shopify invoices into Xero, and honestly, it’s been nothing but problems from day one. The syncing is unreliable. There are constant issues, and instead of saving time, it’s created more work. I’ve had invoices duplicated multiple times, which means I’m now manually going through everything to clean it up. I've had payments that have not synched. That completely defeats the point of using a tool like this. Customer support is just as frustrating. They’re extremely difficult to get hold of, and when you finally do, you’re booking a call a week in advance for a 30-minute slot. For a paid service that’s supposed to streamline your accounting, that level of support is unacceptable. What’s most frustrating is the time it’s cost me. I would have been better off hiring a bookkeeper to do this properly from the start rather than dealing with the constant errors and manual fixes this app has created. Overall, a complete waste of time and I would not recommend this to anyone serious about running a smooth accounting setup.
