Getting started
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘆𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗫𝗲𝗿𝗼 BundyPlus Live integrates seamlessly with Xero Payroll via a secure, official connection. This allows automatic import of employees, pay items, and pay runs from Xero — plus one-click export of approved timesheets (with ordinary time, overtime, penalties, allowances, breaks, and rounding) directly into Xero for payroll processing.
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 You must have Payroll Admin permissions in your Xero organisation. Employees in Xero should have a unique email address in their profile (recommended for smooth syncing). Ensure employee details match between systems: First Name, Last Name, and Employee/Payroll ID (including any leading zeros). BundyPlus Live account ready (sign in at your BundyPlus dashboard).
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽-𝗯𝘆-𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗫𝗲𝗿𝗼
- Log in to your BundyPlus Live account.
- Click Settings (usually in the top or side menu).
- Select Integrations (it may appear under a "Disabled" tab if no integrations are active yet).
- Search for or scroll to Xero.
- Click the Connect button (or check the Enable checkbox if shown).
- Click Connect to Xero (or similar prompt). You’ll be redirected to Xero’s login/authorisation page.
- Log in to your Xero account if not already signed in (this step may auto-skip if logged in elsewhere).
𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗫𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁. Click Allow access to grant BundyPlus permission (this uses secure OAuth — no passwords shared). Return to BundyPlus — you’ll see confirmation that the integration is active, with your selected organisation displayed.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 If the connection fails: Ensure you're using the correct Xero organisation and have Payroll Admin rights. Try reconnecting via Settings > Integrations > Xero > Reconnect. Employee sync issues: Double-check names and IDs match exactly between BundyPlus and Xero. Manually trigger import if needed (see Xero Cheat-sheet article).
