Extral charges if you don't switch to all their products

we have suddenly been hit with payment processing fees as we are refusing to change to lightspeed payments.

Run a mile

Shocking experience. Very difficult to reconcile. Was promised in writing that fees would be charged monthly in an invoice, all lies to get us to sign the contract. Reports are not accurate, they vary from report to report with the same information. Moving to lightspeed has only cost me more time and frustration

Stock Price Not Updating

Vend has a function to receive stock and to set a mark-up for a Vendor. However this functions does not update your current stock pricing or your selling price. They have a Inventory report with a Average pricing. But your average stock price and your current inventory and selling price is not connected. As such you can receive stock in Vend, but it does not update any pricing and you can sell the stock at a loss. Causing your business to fail. Vend would like you to update the pricing manually by importing a stock list.

Poor performance

The way Vend posts its transactions to Xero makes it very difficult to reconcile the bank account, which is time consuming. We have also integrated Vend to our Shopify website, credit balances from Shopify don't post to Vend therefore each transaction needs to be done manually. Vend blames Shopify and Shopify blame Vend. Unable in Vend to post earlier dates relating to inventory transactions as everything is real time so then you need to amend transactions in Xero to the correct date. Personally after the experience I have had with Vend support and the issues with integration I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Technically good, poor reconciliation

The integration works well technically. But a register closure at the end of the day is posted as an invoice that is marked as paid (with payments coded to each account you configure for that payment type). But when it comes time to reconcile the bank feed for merchant settlement payments and cash deposits you can't match them in Xero. You have to go and remove all the payments from the register closure invoice first. Working out what bank feed items map to what portions of the single invoice, and code them correctly, is a nightmare.

Avoid VEND

Product Good, but after care/support absolutely shocking, quick to take your money, but after that I wish you the very best of luck...
