Unusable ACH workflow

All I want to do is provide a simple way for customers to provide their routing and account number to pay invoices. You wouldn't think in 2023 that would be so hard. I tried bill.com which does have a clean process, but ran in to one problem after another being able to set it up. So I thought I'll just go with Stripe. They're huge and the best known brand so even if they cost more it's probably worth it. So their pricing refers to ACH pricing which implies they provide an ACH interface. I connect Stripe to Xero and all I have is a credit card option. But wait, they do have an ACH option - you just have to do a few more steps to add that. Then I set up an invoice to a test customer account with test email address and send it with only the ACH option selected. I get the email and click the Pay Now button. A window loads that provides a routing number and account number to some Wells Fargo account (apparently some intermediary account that Stripe created for me). Then, the customer is supposed to go to their bank (assuming it supports it) and send an ACH transaction on their own. Are you kidding me? Another 45 minutes wasted.

CHARGES

it is extremly high charge , it is very convenient to use it but not that charges , I will cancel it now

Response from Stripe

Hi there—processing fees are split between Stripe and the card networks involved with a larger portion going towards those services. Our fees include access to a variety of features like fraud protection, reporting, and other tools for managing your payments. We do have a cheaper option of payment method that could help you better called Link which costs 1.2% + €0.25 per successful card charge: https://stripe.com/payments/link.

Second Chance

I employed the STRIPE app to give my clients another payment option. After about 8 or 9 months of using it, I found- 1) the charges were very high; 2) I had to wait about 4 days for payment which suggested that STRIPE was using my money on the short-term money market; 3) It is extremely difficult to work out a reference as to who has paid as nothing identifies with a customer name or invoice number. As most of my 300+ clients pay the same subscription fee. STRIPE's reference system is not very transparent and is ambiguous, to say the least; and 4) STRIPE is very hard to contact (as suggested by others) However, I've decided to give STRIPE a second chance and, if anyone there is reading this, I would like an extended reply with details as to how you might resolve my issues with your company.
