Karbon is an all in one job management platform that has helped us move away from spreadsheets, Outlook Calendar and other ad hoc tools. We now have everything in one place. We set up jobs like recurring BAS and tax returns and Karbon automatically allocates them to the right staff member at the start of each period. Any client emails can be tagged to the job so the team can see the full history before they begin. The biggest time saver so far is that each Monday staff can open their work list and know exactly what they need to do without anyone directing them. I can also look at their work categories and see progress in real time. The visibility is far better than what we had before. There are other features that are already helping us save time and get information in sooner such as automated client reminders and checklists for items like bank statements. We will likely remove our current practice management software along with Outlook because Karbon covers these areas for us. Karbon does a lot and we are still learning. If your workflow or staff productivity feels scattered this brings everything into one system rather than spreading it across several. We have already found that it does more than we expected. I would recommend bringing in an implementor to map out what it can do and to help you set it up properly. Regular quarterly meetings with an account manager like Bianca have also been valuable for us to understand new features and identify improvements. It will probably take a year or so to get comfortable and reach about 80% use of the program which is what we aim for with most software. Even at this early stage it is already working well for us and giving us better structure, better visibility and more consistency across the team.

All of our workflows are in Karbon and this allows us to have great oversight over our practice with where jobs are at and knowing that documents are where we need them to be. Anyone could pick up any job if they needed to.

Being new to Karbon, I can already see the efficiency Karbon will provide. We have been flying blind on resource management to date. The email triage is already a game changer. Am looking forward to seeing the full potential of this software.
