Together, ServiceM8 and Xero form an end-to-end solution for trades & service businesses — each item of work is captured once, and guided through a best-practice workflow of communication, job management & accounting. Information syncs between ServiceM8 and Xero to streamline workflows, avoid double entry & reduce administration. Features include:

  • Invoices approved in ServiceM8 are raised in Xero for automatic reconciliation.
  • Clients and items sync between ServiceM8 & Xero, with changes in one account updating the other.
  • Payments received against an invoice in ServiceM8 sync to Xero, and payments received in Xero sync back to ServiceM8.
  • Tax rates and income account codes are imported automatically from Xero.

My experience as a service8m partner (South Africa)

Great web based application with apple and android app for technicians. Experience as a partner - minimum 8 hours investment in training videos and $99 annual partner fee. Client queried the implementation (4hrs) and training budget (4hrs) and service8m support advised the client that setup should only 0.5hrs. How do we resell a product where we need to pay $99 p.a. and watch 8 hours of roadmap videos and then charge a client 0.5hrs for a setup?

While it may only take 30 mins to set up basic aspects of an account, Partners offer much, much more than this. ServiceM8 Partners can add heaps of value to help the business streamline implementation, save time and get the most out of ServiceM8, which is a big part of what “app advisory” is about. Partners can take the time to learn about the business, its requirements and workflows, then translate that into ServiceM8 and help with the optimisation and change management process, all the while providing a high level of personal support, and peace-of-mind that ServiceM8’s the right solution. Partners can offer training sessions for the business owner, office staff and field technicians (often in separate sessions), tailored for the business and structured around each role, helping the team learn the new workflow and hit the ground running. Partners can customise quote and invoice templates, email & SMS templates, Job Templates, Automations, Queues, and Job Categories. Partners can convert the business’s existing paper-based procedures, reports and certificates into digital Forms which can be completed on site with the ServiceM8 app. Partners can create a range of custom online enquiry and booking pages with Services, letting the business’s clients make an enquiry, request a quote, or book & pay for a service, online, 24/7. The Best App Out There

I've used Service M8 for a few years, and it's still the best app out there. I've tried all the other apps, and they just don't come close. Usability and ease of use are perfect.
