I’m not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, and I actually liked ChangeGPS’s products for the most part while I was using them. However, their billing practices are dreadful. They overcharged me in the very first month of my 12-month cycle, which I had to get refunded. They then increased everyone’s price by 15% for their “Access Evo” product, which you couldn’t opt out of. Their T&Cs have a clause allowing them to increase prices once per year at their discretion, and you’re forced into paying the new rate for the rest of your cycle. While this may be legally allowed, the way it was implemented felt completely out of step with transparent, client-first business practice, and it’s not the kind of business behaviour I want to be associated with. So I decided to cancel and gave almost two months’ notice, but they continued billing me anyway after my renewal date. When I questioned it, they acknowledged it was their error but it still took over a month to receive the refund, even after they submitted it as an “urgent” request. I had to follow them up several times, and my case was closed twice before I received the full refund. I genuinely wasted hours trying to get back money they were never entitled to take in the first place. For a company that produces so many resources and templates on efficiency, good billing practices, and keeping admin tight, it's disappointing to see they don’t apply those same standards internally.

Not Willing to Work with Struggling Practices

We fell behind our payments due to cashflow issues and got locked out of ChangeGPS for 2 months due to non-payment. We caught up with all payments except for the last month which we were locked out. We also paid for another month which we have no access to the software. In return for paying that last subscription, we asked ChangeGPS to either give us access for another month or discount that month’s fee to NIL. We did not feel that we should be paying the last $1,800 for a month which we had not access to the service. ChangeGPS refused to do either. Our Enterprise Success Manager at ChangeGPS told me that we were legally required to pay our monthly subscription for 12 months, despite having no access to the software. The Executive Operations Officer at ChangeGPS did not response to any of our emails on this matter and escalated the matter to debt collection. David Boyar continued to remain silent despite being copied in the emails. Beware of their unwillingness to work and listen with struggling practices.

Makes us look good!

We have been long time ChangeGPS users. It has really enabled us to streamline processes and proactively work with clients on advisory. The whole team at ChangeGPS are so supportive and helpful, thank you!! Highly recommend to accounting practices of all sizes, no matter what size, it will more than pay for itself a number of times over!

The ChangeGPS tools and systems have injected a new breath of life into our firm. Initially I was worried about the monthly investment, however following their systems and methodologies has erased that concern. They provide a small firm with the resources we could never develop ourselves plus they provide guidance into how to use them.

Accounting without the ChangeGPS tools and systems just wouldn't be the same. The time savings, the added client value and how professional it makes you look as an Accountant, nothing short of Amazing.

EXCELLENT software that provides an accountant with the tools to deliver tax and accounting advice to their clients that looks professional, and your clients will love you for it.
