Abtrac is a Xero-accredited developer with a proven integration that keeps your projects and finances perfectly in sync. You get powerful project management and pre-billing in Abtrac, combined with up-to-date financial data in Xero — with no delays, no double entry, and no missed details.
Invoices: Create invoices in Abtrac and push them straight into Xero. Choose whether to send invoices from Abtrac or from Xero, with payments syncing back automatically.
Payments: Paid and overdue invoices in Xero are synced back to Abtrac, so project managers can see the status without needing access to your accounts.
Expenses: Import bills from Xero directly into Abtrac projects. Track expenses alongside your project budgets, and decide which costs should be on-charged to clients.
Clients & contacts: Clients created in Abtrac are shared with Xero, so both systems stay aligned.
Payroll & leave: Abtrac activities and non-billable projects can be mapped to Xero leave types, making payroll simpler and leave balances always up to date.

Getting started
Connecting Abtrac to Xero is quick and simple — most businesses are up and running in less than 10 minutes.
- Click the ‘Get this app’ button at the top of this page to start your free Abtrac trial.
- Once your trial environment is created, log in to Abtrac.
- Go to Administration > Settings > Integrations > Xero.
- Click Connect to Xero and follow the prompts to authorise the connection.
- Match your Xero chart of accounts and leave types with Abtrac settings.
- Start syncing invoices, payments, bills, and payroll data between Abtrac and Xero.
