Acterys + Xero
Acterys manages a data mart that automatically loads all data from your accounting and others systems (e.g. CRM) into a standard relational database in the cloud. This enables access from nearly any client tool like Power BI, Excel that can connect to SQL Server without the limitations of an API integration and much better performance.
Getting started
It only takes on click to connect Xero, WorkflowMax and XPM to Acterys.

Warning: once signed up will not cancel subscription
I used the acterys Xero tool for a client I was working for and it was all fine until the client went bust and I tried to cancel the subscription.
Emailed their support teams, info, privacy emails for many months with NO Response or action - all the while they still collect their monthly fees.
I was going to use this on other clients but after the lack of support and response and taking an additional £300 off me over this period I will use alternate toolsets.

Multiple companies refreshed to PowerBI
Acterys automatically updates and allows us to pull multiple Xero company data tables into PowerBI. It's been reliable and a significant time-savings from pulling and manually combining multiple reports.

Acterys has helped us develop our Xero and operational reporting and analysis
Acterys allowed us to automate and extend our Xero reporting. Single entity and consolidation with the ability to link to other operational data.
It also allows us to move away from financial planning in Excel to stronger consolidated planning including simple reforecasts but also multiple scenarios.
We are using Xero as one data resource along with our operational platforms allowing us to start creating cross platform reporting and analysis for better visibility in one place. And better informed decision making.
At a much lower cost and much faster than if we had built ourself.
There is some shift in skills but the account management, vendors and support staff have been patient and supportive
