As the owner of a USA bookkeeping firm (CO) I have clients with fixed assets requiring IRS (MACRS) and US GAAP treatment for depreciation. Having previously used desktop-based software and Excel spreadsheets, AssetAccountant’s cloud-based application that integrates fully with Xero is much more user-friendly and easy to navigate for both book and tax. Complex functions (e.g. adjustments, partial disposal, revaluations, etc.) are made easy to run journals and tax reports. Although I don’t use it, the ASC842 capability looks good too. Highly recommend taking a trial of this software.
