In previous roles I have used Timberline, Cheops and the most functional of them Multicat (Cat Projects) out of all 4, Corecon included this product has been the most user friendly. Despite what seems a high initial implementation cost I'd also highly reccomend the full set up package to get yourself started. We're still waiting on the functionalty of NOD / EOT's but this product provides amazing bang for your buck and once running the Xero sync and batch patyment process is a huge time saver. My business partner and I have not looked back!

Corecon has been a very useful tool for our carpentry and construction business since we implemented it. It has been great for tracking resources spent on variation work and also for controlling our spending by the incorporation of purchase orders. One thing we find really useful with Corecon is the ability to create a bill from a PO so double entry is not required and this saves us time. Another thing we find really useful is the invoicing function for both fixed lump sum and cost plus contracts. It is very difficult for chargable items to "slip through the cracks" which is great for us financially. The integration between Xero and Corecon is also pretty impressive. We recommend Corecon to any small to medium sized construction business wanting to take their record keeping to the next level.

We signed up with Corecon a month ago and so far so good. We find it user friendly and it works well alongside Xero. From what I hear they are constantly making improvements so it can only get better too!

We use Corecon to manage our commercial construction projects. Like Kate above we have gone from using loads of spreadsheets to having one systems that enables us to manage all our projects in one place. Corecon deals with pricing, subcontractors, purchasing, back costing, document management but best of all it handles retention's smoothly and well. Its great value for money and easy to use happy to recommend it.

Recently we implemented Corecon with the help of Tradeworx which has worked well, I would recommend using the full setup package with Tradeworx & encourage anyone doing it to follow through & dedicate yourself to make sure you are using the software to capacity. As Mike says there is a bit of American jargon etc that you have to get your head around but once you have that sorted it is pretty straight forward. Corecon has more in it than you will probably use & my thought is it could be simplified a little, however better to have to much than not enough I guess! The Corecon to Xero Sync works well, I would like to see however, more options in the Job Cost Code Linking Preferences between the two systems. Enabling more than just 5 Links to be available would definitely save time on our setup if it was available. Other than that this combination suits Civil Contracting & Claim based invoicing very well. Also line descriptions now sync through to Xero :)

Corecon has allowed us to go from multiple spreadsheets to a one stop system for capturing project costs. Tradeworx were great at providing initial training and support. Once there are further improvements to Corecon to better suit the NZ/ AU market & they enable line descriptions to sync to Xero for invoices (receivable, fine with payable) then it will be even better.
Although Xero reviews each app in the Xero App Store, we can’t give any guarantees. It’s up to you to assess the performance, quality and suitability of any app before going ahead.
