Bookeo is a commission free online scheduling and reservation system offering three products:

Bookeo Appointments: designed for consultants and service providers such as lawyers, psychologists, babysitters, beauty therapists and anyone who takes individual appointments.

Bookeo Classes and Courses: geared towards teachers and schools that want to manage their class scheduling and enrolments (ex. language schools, cooking classes, art courses, etc).

Bookeo Tours and Activities: designed for guided tour companies and providers of outdoor/indoor activities (ex. city tours, boat tours, escape rooms, parties, etc).

Bookeo lets you accept online payments, run promotions, integrate with Deal of the Day website, sell gift vouchers, memberships and much more. Bookeo helps you manage your customers’ database and sends automatic email/text confirmations and reminders to your customers.

Bookeo + Xero

Bookeo integrates seamlessly with Xero so that all your invoices, payments and customer data are automatically synced to Xero. Even when you change a booking, add a payment or update a customer, all information is updated to Xero in real-time. This makes it very simple to manage your accounting and tax reporting automatically.

So, the integration between Bookeo and Xero was supposed to provide a seamless experience for both the user and their customers. The booking side of it works extremely well. When a customer books through Bookeo, their booking is recorded in Xero immediately as either a payment or as a debt. Reconciliation is a doddle once the payment is received. There is one fundamental flaw however. In Xero it is recorded that an invoice has been sent to the customer. This doesn't happen. Xero say that it is a Bookeo issue and Bookeo say that it is a Xero issue. Nevertheless, it has been months with no news of a resolution. I have taken to just resending the invoices even though they are marked as sent in Xero.
