We use this app for our own accounts as well as for several client. We recommend it for automated statements. We stopped using invoice reminders on Xero as we received too many complaints.

Statey was the perfect answer, it's very simple to set up, you can customise the emails and best of all once it's done you can basically forget about it and let it run by itself. For the monthly cost why wouldn't you use it!
