My daughter has been using this software for a week now and seems pretty
happy with the way it works in her Salon of three hairdressers. The exports to Xero are quite good. There appears to be a lot more we can do with the program, but the instructions on how to do it aren't very clear. The videos aren't always clear. When searching for instructions on something it will give instructions for part of the process but not all.
I'm hoping with a little more time I will be able to use more of the reporting functions available.

Yeah we have our franchises moving over to simple salon because it integrates with Xero... but totally lost!!
Simple Salon as a POS Software is pretty good, and xero is great but there's no resources on what to do with the two, and for those of us who aren't accounting savvy it is very much guess work!
There is very little from SImple Salon's side explaining to us (non accountant type people!) as to what accounts to line up their things with and how it works at the Xero end. None of us understand! How do we reconcile the cash/eft going into our accounts now as it seems doubling up to mark the invoices as sales coming in and the cash going into the accounts as sales going in. And there are no petty cash transactions coming through on the end of day invoices... And what are the accounts we should be lining up the invoice lines too... just some explanations would be useful :)
I don't know where the responsibility lies but someone (Xero or Simple Salon) need to explain for dummies what to do with Xero to make the accounting side of it line up :)
