Overall a seamless experience
We love Service M8, it's so useful to keep track of all our service jobs. The new updates have been really intuitive and solved some previous little annoyances so we're very happy. We've spoken to online help a few times and they've always solved the problem almost straight away so customer service has been great. We do have a slight syncing issue with some invoices in Xero but we've been given a workaround that we're happy with so we highly recommend service m8.

Brilliant Software/App, Just Keeps Getting Better...
I knew the functionality for this would suit my business, my biggest frustration is that I am not using it to its full potential but thats just because it keeps on giving more and more! I find some great new options and functions all the time and the more I use it...the better it gets.

Not being the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to computers I found the help and support from ServiceM8 got me through those early teething problems. Now it's just so easy - send customers bookings, convert them to jobs, send invoices, upload photos, link to Xero. Budda Bing Budda Boom job done.

Hey there Pam,
To clarify, ServiceM8 is not accounting software — we’re a job management solution for trades & service businesses, and complementary to Xero (rather than an alternative).
In ServiceM8, a contractor or service business can take care of everything that happens before a job/client gets to Xero e.g. you can take a phone call from a client directly in ServiceM8, capture the job & client details in a digital job card, and schedule the job to a technician in the field. The technician can then navigate to site, track their time on site, complete checklists, save notes & photos, complete PDF forms, add items/labour they’ve used, generate an invoice, take payment, email & text the invoice to the client, then sync all those invoice and payment details through to Xero, before they even get back in the van and head to their next job.
So, you’d use ServiceM8 to manage your jobs, staff and clients at the start and middle of a job’s life cycle, then it flows through to Xero — avoiding double-entry and streamlining your invoicing, payments and reconciliation i.e. together, ServiceM8 & Xero form a best-practice workflow of job management, customer service and accounting.

terrible
0 stars if i could. ServiceM8's support is non existent. they reply, but you only ever get generic responses with no effort whatsoever to actually solve the issue. our servicem8 connection to xero is currently randomly dropping out without warning and not notifying us, which in turn stops our invoices going through our automated payment platform so we dont get paid for however long the connection is out for. then when asked to find the cause of the issue they blame xero, then when xero says it is their error, they do nothin about it. so, if you want consistent payment and support, this is not the app for you.
