Slow Payment & Fees outrageous

it takes days for payments to arrive & the fees are out of this world - have cancelled stripe & won't use again - it's about as helpful as those who recommend it

Poor service

Don’t use Stripe, they take the payment off your client and don’t pay you or take over a week to pay you, this is even after the first transaction. I’ve cancelled their service and won’t use them again.

Response from Stripe

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your payouts, Mark. If this is your first payout, there is a 7-14 day waiting period, which is necessary for risk mitigation and cannot be waived under any circumstances. That can extend depending on your country, but subsequent payouts generally process much more quickly (up to instant payments for some countries). Absolutely stay away

For a job for which we had issued and received an invoice and which consisted of at least two treatments, our customer demanded a refund, saying to his bank, "They scammed me, I want my money back." A sum of approximately £500 was deducted from our bank account, including a £32 Stripe deduction for the deposited money without our knowledge. Despite our objections and showing all the photos and invoices for the work done, our money was not refunded. They treat customer disputes as if they were courts and make their own decisions. They treated our 9-year-old company like fraudsters and took money from us for it. Absolutely stay away.

Response from Stripe

We know how challenging disputes can be. It is important to note that Stripe does not determine the outcome of a customer dispute—the customer's issuing bank does. However, we wanted to provide you with a resource to help respond to disputes should you ever face a similar issue in the future: https://docs.stripe.com/disputes/responding

Blame Shifting

I use stripe connected to my SAAS product and it works quite well. I've added the integration to Xero, it's just annoying that it takes so long. So I contacted Stripe they said it's actually Xero that holds up the money. In a world where I can instant transfer 7 days a week 24/7 to take 3 Business days feels like a scam. Then who is really to blame for holding up the money Stripe or Xero?

Payout timing does vary by country and industry, but feel free to view this table to see if the timing you're experiencing doesn't line up with what we've shared: https://docs.stripe.com/payouts#standard-payout-timing If you find otherwise, please don't hesitate to contact our support team at https://support.stripe.com and we'd be happy to take another look.
