The adult leaders and other volunteers of our Scout Group can claim their out-of-pocket expenses as they are incurred, so they are lot less likely to get overlooked, as they tend to be irregular. The downside is there is no concession on the per-user monthly fee for NPOs.

The expenses module has many good elements but I think it has two significant limitations. 1. Not all transactions have simplified GST. Certain receipts have mixed GST and Non-GST items. This is not dealt with by Xero. It is difficult and time consuming to correct this post entry by myself. 2. the photography of the expense claim is poor. Not nicely centered. Also there is no character recognition so not as efficient as some other softwares

Xero is a great simple solution to business accounting!

Xero has helped me keep track of not only recipes and made invoicing customer easier, but helped keep track of expenses on bigger jobs. So I can keep a better eye on the budget. It would be nice to see a field in the invoice for being able to do a little description of the work done.

Brilliant that i can monitor and enter expenses across all my clients from one single app

I've used this previously at another company and loved it. So great when you are on the road and also if your accountant is based at another site (like home during Covid times). However, I want to introduce the app to another company and when you click the video it says it is unavailable. :-(
