Helpful and fixed the errors

i have come across some issues while using these products the correct way and the team at Amako have been very helpful in correcting the integration and helping me understand how it all works!

Definitely not worth the trouble of integrating with Xero

The integration, using Amaka, has changed three times within the last year - the last two times without notification. The integration creates gl accounts within Xero - to which I strenuously object - without notification or permission. It does not report sales tax correctly either. After the initial setup, there is no documentation on how to use nor how data is being placed in the new accounts and what to do with them. Finally, we killed the integration. It is much, much easier to run monthly reports and enter data into a worksheet to calculate manual journal entries. What a shame. Instead of making life easier, it makes it more difficult.

Half broken feed

The feed from Square continues to export the fees and bank transfers to Xero, but stopped exporting the daily invoices. Very frustrating experience.

Does Not Transfer Taxes appropriately from daily sales

The new method of transferring the taxes collected from square, makes the sales tax reporting in Xero unusable. When I spoke with Xero, they claimed that they switched to third party provider (Amaka) that could offer better service, and that I would need to speak to them. When I asked Amaka (Square) They said that they made accounts for each tax rate, but that the sales will no longer have the sales tax rate applied to the invoice making the reporting in Xero non-functional.

Great customer service support!

Jam was really amazing to work with! She went above and beyond to ensure we fixed the issue. She has very good system and integration knowledge. It was a great experience.
Although Xero reviews each app in the Xero App Store, we can’t give any guarantees. It’s up to you to assess the performance, quality and suitability of any app before going ahead.
