GDPR violation

If your business is based in the UK or EU, be warned: EzzyBills automatically imports your entire Xero Contact list into their system, including both Suppliers and Customers, which poses a serious GDPR compliance risk. They don't ask for your explicit consent before doing so which is another major issue. While Supplier data is understandably used for invoice matching, there is no valid reason for Customer contact details to be imported. This is a clear breach of GDPR principles, specifically Data minimisation (Art. 5(1)(c)) and Unlawful cross-border transfer (Art. 44). When I raised this with EzzyBills support, I was astonished by their casual attitude. There is no method to prevent this data import or to delete already imported data which is a staggering failure of data governance. They assured me the data isn’t used for anything else which I don’t doubt, but this completely misses the point. GDPR doesn’t care about intent. It mandates strict limits on what data can be collected and stored in the first place. After multiple messages, the best they could offer was a vague promise that their developers might look into a fix sometime in the future — no timeline, no guarantees. This is unacceptable for any processor handling personal data on behalf of a GDPR-regulated business. I have now formally requested that our account and all customer data be deleted. Until this is resolved, I would strongly advise any UK/EU business to avoid using EzzyBills, or risk falling into an unintentional compliance breach.

First Class

The team in EzzyBills are incredibly helpful and will continue to work on a project until it works. This is a different level to many of the other apps that offer similar services. Ezzybills are making bookkeeping an easier, more sampled and more efficient task.

EzzyBills has been a great support to our team and has saved us so much time. Before EzzyBills we were bogged down entering bills and it was such a time-wasting process. EzzyBills has taken the tedium out of our accounts payable processing. Couldn't be happier!
